“Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.”
I gravitate to many passages of scripture.
Like Ephesians chapter four or Galatians chapter four. But if I must select a favorite verse, it is always this one in Titus.
This verse means a great deal to me. First, because it is the very first memory verse I memorized at age seven. My mom taught it to me for Pew Packers class. Little did I know how big this short verse would be for me.
But also because, it calls for living honorable lives and a readiness to do good when it is encountered.
These traits have served as part of my core philosophy, by which I have endeavored to live by. These have shaped me over a lifetime.
Certainly, I have other verses that give me hope, focus and build my trust in what God is doing. But no other verse means as much to me than this one.
I invite you to think on these things and as always, Press On!
