Let’s finish the year strong!

Although this has been a challenging year for Herald of Truth, thanks to your generosity thousands of people have heard the story of Jesus! In Cuba, Honduras, and Guatemala, people have come to a knowledge of the gospel through radio. In Africa, people are leaving the religion of Islam and embracing Christianity due to the teaching of Moses Banda and others.

And right here in the US people are once again seeing advertising for Churches of Christ on the television and the internet through the Mission: Evangelize America campaign. With your help, this challenging year has been a banner year for Herald of Truth!

Just consider the couple in Cuba who received some of our literature. They spent time investigating the teaching of Churches of Christ and called Tony Frenandez our Cuban Ministry Coordinator. They sold several things to be able to get together the 50 dollars to pay a taxi to take them to be baptized.

Or the 17-year-old girl in Florida who saw our “God’s Love Begins with Forgiveness” add online. She had no religious background, but her best friend is a member of the church. After seeing the add she asked, “Can I go to church with you Sunday?” The gospel is still powerful, and your partnership helps stories like this continue to be written.

Today, we embark on our Year-End Campaign. And although it has been a successful year for our ministry, it has been a challenge to raise to funds necessary to carry out God’s mission. In a typical year, we have special events and regional benefit dinners that help fund the great work you are a part of, but due to the Pandemic, we had to cancel all fundraising events. As a result, we must raise $90,000 by December 31st to end our year in the black. Yes, this is a big number, but we serve a BIGGER God.

We are reaching out to you because you have already demonstrated your love for souls like the couple in Cuba and the young lady in Florida. In addition to your regular gifts, would you be willing to make a special year-end contribution of $50, $100, $500, or $1000 to lead more people to Jesus?

If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that everything is “Subject to change.” Isn’t comforting to know that the life changing power of Jesus never changes. With your support, we can continue to impact our world in a lasting way.
